Google Account Login & Google Drive Access

When you sign in with your Google account, you consent to sharing basic profile information (such as your name, email address, and age) and to granting the app permission to manage files only within the Confideins application folder in your Google Drive.

The app cannot create, view, edit, delete, or access any files outside its dedicated folder.
This scope limitation is enforced by Google to protect your privacy.

Encryption & Security of Your Passwords

All passwords stored in the app are protected by multiple layers of encryption.
You may set a custom encryption password that encrypts all your stored passwords:
- This encryption password is known only to you.
- We do not store or transmit this password on our servers or any related system.
- If you lose this password, we cannot decrypt your data.

Local Storage & Cloud Backup

If you do not enable backup, all data remains stored locally on your device and stays encrypted.
If you enable Google Drive backup, an additional encryption layer is applied before any data is sent to Google Drive, ensuring protection even in the cloud.

Data We Collect

Information Collected on Google Sign-In

Basic profile details: name and email address;
App-related information such as subscription status.

Important: Confidential content you store in Confideins (e.g., your saved passwords) is never sent to our servers without your explicit in-app consent.

Aggregate Usage Statistics

We collect aggregated, non-identifying metrics (for example, how often the app or certain features are used) to improve performance and understand general trends. This data does not identify individual users.

Offline Use

You can use Confideins without creating an account. In offline mode, your data remains on your device. Some features may be limited without online access.
